On a very cold wintry day, I ascended Slieve Donard via the Black Stair, then on to Chimney Rock Mountain, Rocky, and finished with Slieve Commedagh.

Spelga Skyline Fell Race
The Spelga Skyline fell race is one of the long distance events in the NIMRA Championship race calendar, and every year I experience the exhausting pleasure that accompanies the role of Race Director.
Now in its fourth year since returning to the championship. The ‘Denis Rankin Memorial’ Spelga Skyline is possibly the most challenging race of the season. Often requiring navigation across open mountain.

iRoM20 Mourne High Peaks
I mixed it up today on the weekly long run, by modifying my ‘high peaks’ route, which links three of the highest peaks in the Mourne Mountains to include scrambling routes wherever possible. I had a lot of fun until the thunder storm 😲
